We are pleased to announce its involvement with two international sports-industry events taking place this year: the Athlete 360 Conference, and the 2nd World Stadiums & Arenas Summit.
For World OCR, this partnership reflects two important dimensions of how we believe an international sports federation should develop.
The first dimension is the OCR athlete.
Athlete 360 looks at the complete athlete-development pathway – from grassroots participation and talent development to high performance, sports science, health, recovery, coaching, technology and long-term athlete wellbeing. These are areas that are increasingly relevant to World OCR as we continue to extend our international reach.
Building OCR internationally cannot be limited to creating competitions. It also means understanding how we can help OCR athletes prepare better, perform better and develop within stronger coaching and performance environments.
The second dimension is the environment in which sport happens.
The World Stadiums & Arenas Summit brings together sports federations, venue developers, government stakeholders, architects, operators and other industry leaders around the future of sports infrastructure, innovation and sustainable event venues. Its 2026 programme also includes discussion around multi-sport venues, community sport, athlete pathways and the development of sporting infrastructure beyond traditional stadium models.
For obstacle-based sports, this is particularly relevant. The future growth of OCR and OCRATHLON will depend not only on athletes and organizers, but also on access to appropriate venues, training environments, obstacle infrastructure and partners capable of supporting events in new markets.
