On 30 November 2025, the annual ordinary General Assembly of World OCR was held with the participation of the member countries. Following the approval of the 2024 annual report, the member countries also decided to amend the Statutes of World OCR. Pursuant to the amendment, as of the date of the General Assembly, World OCR brings several sports disciplines under its authority: firstly, OCR (which, from now on, stands for Obstacle Cross Running), and secondly, OCRATHLON (a completely new sport discipline falling under the auspices of World OCR).
OCR in the competitive format places equal importance on the running and strength and obstacle navigation, making it a unique blend of athletics and skill-based sports.
OCRATHLON is a multidisciplinary obstacle sport, developed under the governance of World OCR Federation. It combines separate running track, functional strength challenges and skill-based obstacle elements, structured across a standardized track. Unlike other obstacle-based sports, OCRATHLON separates its three segments, the Run Track, Power Track, and Skill Track, into clearly defined stages, ensuring a balanced test of running endurance, strength, and technical obstacle-skill.
