About
World OCR
Established as a non-profit organization in March 2024, World OCR proudly serves as the first legally registered International Sports Governing Body for the sport of OCR and OCRATHLON worldwide.
Starting the date of its founding, the World OCR International Sports Federation is the highest worldwide authority for the sport of OCR, Para-OCR, OCRATHLON, para-OCRATHLON and all its virtual variants.
Registered under the legal name “Fédération Mondiale de Cross Running à Obstacles” by the Swiss Federal Office for Justice, its headquarters are located in the heart of Lausanne, in Switzerland.

The Sport
OCR is more than just a sport, it’s the foundation of all currently existing modern obstacle sporting disciplines worldwide, some of which will be included in the Olympic program starting with the #LA28 Olympics. It’s a unique blend of athletics and skill-based sports, that attracts participants from all age groups and sporting backgrounds.
OCRATHLON is a multidisciplinary obstacle sport developed under the governance of World OCR to test the complete athlete through a combination of endurance, speed, technique, and obstacle proficiency. This represents the evolution of obstacle sports through a structured and versatile competition format.
With standardized competition distances and formats, World OCR ensures consistency across events, allowing athletes to accurately measure their progress and compete fairly on a global scale.
